Well it was a hard ish start. Today was kind of a rough day and Natasha and I were not happy with each other all morning. It was hot. We tried to leave the preserve on time. Toothless was having a hard time transitioning to hiking and honestly is sometimes terrible at understanding his body temperature (do NOT wear a puffy jacket when it’s dry and 20+ deg C!!).
The views were stunning.
The day was so flipping hot.
After lunch Toothless was not feeling it and honestly we didn’t have much water so I shoulder carried him a bit and he chilled out and felt like hiking. So he hiked over a mile towards Mission Creek.
But by the time we got over the ridge and toward Mission Creek I felt the cool air.
The water was cool. There were rocks moved so there was a cool pool to sit in. Toothless played in it. Natasha and I cooled our feet.

Then we headed up the creek bed. Toothless was into it but it was slow.

The creek looks lovely
