Today we hiked nearly 10 miles from the day use area.

The weather we expected yesterday came today. We had snow, rain and hail.

We all kept warm but had to keep feeding Secret his snacks for him to keep him fed and since he had mittens on. Be did great. The kids have some warm gear and their rain gear is very useful in both wind and these storms.

Lil Flier slept most of day. I think the rain and hail noise bothers her so she just sleeps through it.

I know I realized this on the GDT with Toothless/Secret but the Umbrella is amazing. It blocks the precipitation and wind. Much warmer than without it.

During a meltdown Scarecrow and Violet akeed if we needed help. We were fine but it was hard for Natasha and I to open a baby food pouch for Secret. Should have asked them to help with that!

We set up camp at a pretty nice spot. The rain let off most of the night but we were already bunkered down in our tent warming up. It’s nice being able to cook in a tent here in SoCal.
