Today was generally another positive and good day. We hiked around 10.5 miles.
We had a nice camp at a creek last night. But we had a lot of condensation. I picked a spot further from the water but it made little difference.
The morning had its hard points. Mostly Secret putting his shoes on.
The day was supposed to be cool with maybe snow or rain in the afternoon. Clear skies when we left but we will see.
We heard a lot about trail magic near the end of our day. My farout comments aren’t showing anything but maybe it was posted after I last was in town.
We took a break at camp Glenwood. They have open toilets and tables and are right on the PCT. We laid out quilts out to dry. It helped.
The sky started getting dark and there was some rain there. We had lunch at Three Points under the bathroom roof overhang. We got dressed in rain gear and I’m glad we did. It didn’t really rain hard but it was foggy and damp most of the day from then on. Not a lot of photos of the fog – I tend to keep my phone in my rain jacket pocket.
Despite that Secret just kinda played and ran along the trail. I walked with Lil Flier and she napped off and on. I had an umbrella just tucked in (our umbrella straps don’t work when she’s in the carrier so we haven’t used them). She leaned wayyy back and napped hard.
We got to Sulfur Spring camp at like 3pm and no trail magic. We had a break and swapped kids. Natasha tried putting Lil Flier facing forward and we hiked another mile or so to a nice site on top of a hill. Quiet. Plants nearby to block wind. We are in the tent getting rain but thankfully our gear did get dried out earlier so we are cozy. Before bed Secret and I played “kitty” which is basically him riding my back.
