We started at our camp by the dirt road. And were gifted a low passing helicopter. Secret has been super into helicopters and air planes on the whole trip. This was so cool!

The day was nice. Definitely hot at times but generally pleasant.

I’m still loving the flowers.

Lots of bees. We passed a hiker who was allergic to bees. Once she settled down at a particularly bee busy area she gave us some info about the ranger station.

The ranger station was really nice. The caretaker is awesome and provides water. He offers beer and pop to hikers. He also gave us marshmallow bars for Secret and a sparkling water for him too!

The ranger station is a place that you are allowed to camp in the area. It’s set up well for campers and has a pit toilet.

Secret started feeling confident to go to the pit toilet on his own here. Which is a great development. He sometimes wants more help than he needs. He’s so independent.
