Leaving Green Valley is..well green.

Overall a minor climb, some nice views and we ended up seeing some old mine shafts (which we took a break inside). They were neat. Not large. Closed off at the back so you can’t go in far. They happen to provide some shade and a cool rest spot.

It was one of those hot days.

We ended up cowboy camping near a dirt road, just in from the trail. We saw a Jerusalem Cricket. Which confused me. It’s so weird! I had to look this up later. We chose to camp further away from where this little guy lives because we had no idea what it was and didn’t want to cowboy next to it.
