Our campsite was pretty last night. And not much wind so I got much needed rest.

We stopped for lunch at a campsite that had a water cache and lawn chair. We were offered a ride to town but we want to go to the highway not this spot. So we waited out some of the heat and then kept going. There was a bag of cereal there – Secret was a fan of Dino Bites. Neat! We will never buy those at home!

We kept going into the wind farm.

A ranger stopped us – drove up really fast and rushed to us. Then handed Secret stickers.

It was a hot but windy afternoon.

But the windmills were neat. There were different designs from different years.

We got to camp early again. Some Junipers that worked well blocking the wind. Since we already booked accommodation in Tehachapi we can’t hike too far per day. We are early and have to slow roll it.

We spend the time at camp playing bocce with rocks, other games, Secret explores and runs back and forth to a gate and bridge and plays there.
