Today was a surprising amount of dirt road walk. Poorly graded and rutted as well. 

It was hotter than expected, despite still having trees and vegetation to cool us down.

We met Hank. He was supportive and offered snacks. Near the end of the day he passed us again and offered to take a family picture with Natasha’s phone. Awesome!

Water source was a nice spot. A piped spring. Shade. Lil Flier got lots of crawling space. It was chill.

In the end we still hiked 12.5 miles and cowboy camped in a nice treed in area with dozens of tent sites.
