We left our camp at good time, and had some awesome views.

As we headed into water, Secret bailed while running down the trail and ended up with a bloody mouth. We cleaned it out. I took him to the water to soak his feet and play in the water a bit. His mood improved and he cooled down.
The afternoon had a lot of nice moments between Party City and Secret. It’s nice to see – Secret tends to vocalize a preference for spending time with me, but in reality he loves his mom and enjoys hanging out with her. It also gives me more time with Lil Flier and a mental break from the 4 year old’s constant talking.

We found a pretty nice camp site. Lots of climbing for the kids. Secret was struggling to be friendly with a stick he pretended was a sword. I’m starting to regret telling him about the story I’m reading before bed (Treasure Island).
