Last night was wild. So much wind. The tent was thrashing at night. It held up but I definitely had some anxiety. I also realized our line locks were slipping. I’m not sure if it’s the cable or just due to how much the wind was thrashing the tent but I’ll need to check on that.
Toothless woke a bit early for a bathroom break and so him and I got to see the sunrise. The sky was cloudy and there was some precipitation blowing in the wind
The day was very cold as we hiked. It was cool, cloudy and windy.
After a while the sun came out and we hiked into a completely different world. There were trees. Shade. And the water source was nearby. Everything was green.

We did some much needed diaper laundry, talked to other hikers, had a snack and kept going.

The rest of the day was hiking in rolling green hills with shade trees. It was amazing. It’s cattle grazing land (possibly a ranch). We could see cows in the distance. Toothless was in a great mood and literally ran the last mile or so. I think the change of scenery pumped him up.

We set up camp by a stream, hoping the cows we could hear don’t come here tonight.
Breathtakingly beautiful!
