PCT 2025 Day 29: short of a tenner

Another good day. I love this part of the trail.

Toothless hiked 9.9 miles (holy crap). And had fun. Man.

We have been considering our Sierra plan. We might attempt but the challenge is our packs are not appropriate for carrying bear cans with our gear volume. I knew this would be an issue. We now have to solve it.

We had a nice camp. It was cold though after it got dark!

Wow! 9.9 miles! That’s quite the hiking distance for anyone. Well done!

I love the trees there. The scenery has been amazing throughout the hike, but those trees are something else.

Thanks! It’s hard not to compare to our typical mileage without kids but standing back I realize this is a pretty good mileage for most people even if it’s not what we would achieve on our own. And it’s a four year old just doing it naturally.

It has been really interesting seeing the terrain and vegetation change during the trip. One week it’s flat and cacti and the next you have snow, mountains and these awesome trees (and cones!)
