PCT 2025 Day 38: waiting for the rain

We left the windy campsite feeling relieved.

I don’t have many notes on today. I recall some walking in the trees, then a water source before 8 miles of dry trail.

We had a pretty short day. As we approached Silverwood Lake we could see the Boat in day use site. Secret called it the castle. We could also see some looming rain clouds. We tried to get around the lake quickly. It was windy. Secret wasn’t always understanding our urgency. But we got there early and in the end the rain didn’t come.

Secret spent the evening cleaning up the trash that was strewn around the beach.  It was neat to see that. We pitched our tent by the bathroom. I spent the afternoon cleaning up the glass.
