Today we hiked to the day use area by the fire station and of course Secret looked at the fire station. I was hoping he could see the fire fighters but it was too early. We heard they might greet hikers and point out where to get water at the day use faucet.

It was a day of losses.

I learned I lost my HH funnel. I left it on a rock when getting water. I was tired yesterday. The hiker that told me I left it didn’t think to carry out lost items or trash.

I also went to charge my phone and noticed we no longer have a USBC to USB micro connector that’s needed for Secrets light. He carries this everywhere and it’s on a lanyard in case he gets separated from us.

Both items can be replaced but the next realistic place to get them sent is Tehachapi.

Overall it was a nice but hot day.

We camped by a dirt road. It was cool. But the fog saturated us at the end of the day.
